BOSTON (WHDH) -- Mayor Menino made the rounds in Boston on what will be his final Fourth of July as Boston's Mayor.
Menino started at City Hall this to kick off the Independence Day celebrations. Afterward, he went to Faneuil Hall and said the events of the past few months have shown what Boston is made of.
"People of Boston are strong today. We're not going to let two individuals, or any individuals destroy our city, and today people are coming out more than ever to show how strong this city is. This is a great city, great people live here, great people visit here,? Mayor Thomas Menino said.
Mayor Menino went on to say Boston is probably the best place to be in America on this holiday.
