Noriatsu Osaka went four-for-four with three homers and four RBI as Japan routed Goodlettsville, Tennessee 12-2 to claim the 2012 Little League World Series championship.
Yuta Ishida homered and drove in three runs and pitcher Kotaro Kiyomiya struck out eight and allowed just one hit in four innings for Japan on Sunday.
It marked the eighth LLWS title for Japan, which has played in the Williamsport finale five of the past seven years.
The Tennessee team could not keep up with the undefeated Japanese club. Tennessee advanced to the final by beating Petaluma, California 24-16 on Saturday.
Pitchers Justin Smith allowed five runs in three innings and Blake Osborne also gave up five runs for the Americans.
This was the first time a team from Tennessee reached the final of the LLWS.
