Ryan Dunn Estate Sued For Wrongful Death of Passenger

A wrongful death lawsuit has been filed against Ryan Dunn, the late Jackass star who died in a car accident last June. The parents of the passenger in the vehicle, who also passed away, are suing Dunn's estate for damages.

Dunn was reportedly driving his Porsche at 132 mph when he lost control and struck a tree in rural Pennsylvania. He and Zachery Hartwell were killed.

Ryan was allegedly extremely drunk at the time.

RIP Ryan Dunn

The Ryan Dunn lawsuit names both Dunn and the Barnaby's of America in West Chester, Pa., the bar where he was said to be drinking before the crash.

Hartwell's parents believe the establishment was negligent in serving alcohol to Dunn when it was obvious he was drunk and in no condition to drive.

Dunn may still be liable despite the fact that he is dead.

Generally, an injured party can sue a deceased person by going after the deceased person's estate, though time and monetary limits vary by state.

Interestingly, Zachery Hartwell's parents are seeking from Dunn's estate any wages Hartwell would have earned during his life ... potentially a lot.
