Job Summary/Basic Function:
An instructor will present specific course content with summary assessment of student ability to retain and apply the information in an academic setting. An instructor is responsible for classroom preparation (labs), proctoring of exams, advising students, and registration. Instructors are also required to serve on College committees. Instructors may be required to mentor and advise new faculty.

Preferred Qualifications/ Work Experience:
Thesis based Masters Degree, teaching experience at the collegiate level, and research experience in graduate school is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate breadth and depth of scientific literacy.

Minimum Education:
Masters of Science in Biology, Chemistry, Geology, Physics or closely related field with 18 hours of graduate work in field.
Masters of Science in a closely related field with experience in the subject.
Post Baccalaureate degree in Medicine, Nursing, or Public Health.
Professional degree with experience in the subject.

Physical Demands:
Ability to sit for long periods of time and walk distances.
Manual dexterity to operate computer/office equipment.
Visual acuity correctable to 20/20.

Not allergic to chemicals or equipment used in labs.
Be able to lift and carry up to 35 lbs.
